On January 21, we participated in a new session of the Nature and Biodiversity Accelerator, an initiative that seeks to accelerate and scale business solutions for the protection, restoration, and management of biodiversity and ecosystems.

This second session, corresponding to the diagnostic stage and held at the San Joaquín Campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile, allowed us to delve deeper into key concepts of nature and biodiversity, which are fundamental for strategic decision-making. Likewise, the main findings, gaps, and lessons learned were shared with the participating companies, moving toward strategies aligned with ACT-D criteria.

This program—a pioneer in Chile and Latin America—was promoted by Acción Empresas and the Ministry of the Environment and is supported by Business for Nature. It currently brings together 20 companies committed to moving from commitment to effective implementation, contributing to a positive future for nature.

The Accelerator aims to remove barriers to climate action and sustainability by promoting public-private collaboration and supporting companies in integrating nature into their management. In this context, Acción Empresas, together with ImplementaSur and NaturaInvest, supports organizations from different sectors in incorporating nature and biodiversity into financial risk management, as well as in developing natural capital strategies that add value to the business.
