NaturaInvest at the 1st International Forum on Biodiversity Conservation and Human Well-being
The Nature Campus of the University of Concepción held the 1st International Forum on Biodiversity Conservation and Human Well-being on October 16 and 17, 2025, with talks and panels that connected science, public policy, education, health, and economics to promote human well-being through nature conservation.
The forum brought together national and international specialists and closed with a call to integrate nature, education, and health as the basis for sustainable development in the regions. Within this framework, our director Rodrigo Arriagada, presented and was part of the panel for the block “Renaturalizing the future: transformative strategies to conserve and restore biodiversity.”
Rodrigo highlighted three key ideas in line with the UdeC Nature Campus initiative:
It is a multi-stakeholder conservation model that recognizes and quantifies the benefits of natural capital for communities.
This is evidence that investing in nature adds value and is replicable in private investment contexts.
It is a proposal that adds value to urbanization by integrating conservation and restoration into territorial planning.
With this participation, we reinforce our commitment to bring evidence and natural capital valuation tools to public and private decisions, accelerating conservation projects with real benefits for communities.
Invertir en naturaleza, invertir en futuro.
