One step closer to the green transition: closing of the Nature and Financial Sector Cycle
The in-person session held on January 7 marked the end of the cycle “Nature and the Financial Sector in Chile: TNFD, management, and opportunities,” an initiative developed jointly by the Chilean Ministry of Finance and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). During this final meeting, the main lessons learned from the previous sessions were reviewed and the strategic role of the financial industry in the nature agenda was explored in depth, addressing key concepts such as LEAP, S3 Standard, Nature Value at Risk, among others.
We would like to highlight the work of Rodrigo Arriagada and Gabriel Acuña, members of NaturaInvest, who were in charge of presenting the content during the sessions of the cycle, thus guiding the reflections and lessons learned.
We would like to thank the organizing institutions for making this event possible and all the participants for their valuable contributions and business perspectives.
One of the most relevant reflections emerging from this cycle is that this is only the beginning of a green transition that requires collaboration, commitment, and joint action from the financial sector. We have set ourselves the task of advancing in the generation and delivery of data, in order to continue promoting larger-scale projects and workshops that demonstrate the relevance and urgency of integrating nature into financial decision-making.
Invertir en naturaleza, invertir en futuro.
